Amazing Guyana win last ball thriller

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Guyana recorded a dramatic last-ball win over Combined Campuses and Colleges as the Caribbean T20 came to life on Monday night at Queen’s Park Oval.

 With 14 runs required from the last six balls of the game, CCC squandered a golden opportunity for full points as pacer Jason Holder sent down a wide, a no-ball and was then smashed for a huge six by Veersammy Permaul off the penultimate delivery, to leave the scores tied.

Walton hits record 99 not out

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Combined Campuses and Colleges, sent in to bat by Guyana, scored 159-3 from their 20 overs in the third game of the Caribbean Twenty20 at Queen’s Park Oval here Monday.

Scores: CCC 159 for three off 20 overs (Chadwick Walton 99 not out, Kyle Corbin 25, Raymon Reifer 21; Devendra Bishoo 1-25) vs GUYANA.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Barbados made light work of Leeward Islands, romping to an emphatic nine-wicket win to send an early warning in the 2013 edition of the Caribbean Twenty20 here Monday.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Barbados defeated Leeward Islands by nine wickets in the second game of the Caribbean T20 at Queen’s Park Oval on Monday.

The game has been reduced to 18 overs per side after wet conditions delayed the start by an hour and 20 minutes.

Scores: LEEWARDS 87 all out off 17.3 overs (Chesney Hughes 34; Tino Best 4-26, Sulieman Benn 2-9)

BARBADOS 91-1 off 8.2 overs (Justin Brathwaite 42, Dwayne Smith 36 not out)
