Brathwaite credits advice from mates

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad - Barbadian seamer, Carlos Brathwaite, has credited advice from his captain Dwayne Smith and spinner Sulieman Benn for his career best four for 23 in the Caribbean T20 match against Jamaica on Tuesday.

Bravo celebrates special return

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC- West Indies all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo, says he feels good to be back to full fitness after recovering from injury sustained during the ICC Twenty20 tournament in Sri Lanka last year.

Bravo celebrated his recovery with a match winning performance in Trinidad and Tobago’s seven wicket victory over Combined Campuses and Colleges in the Caribbean T20 tournament on Tuesday.

“It’s nice to be back playing again, being competitive and doing what I really love – which is bat and bowl,” declared the 29-year-old  Bravo.

Jamaica bat first in 17-over affair

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Windward Islands won the toss and sent Jamaica in to bat in their first game of the Caribbean T20 at Queen’s Park Oval here Wednesday. 

 The match was reduced to 17 overs per side after rain delayed the start by 80 minutes. The Jamaicans were sent in to bat after the Windwards won the toss and elected to field first.

T&T teach CCC a Twenty20 lesson

 

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Trinidad and Tobago brushed aside a ragged Combined Campuses and Colleges by seven wickets to register their first win and get their Caribbean Twenty20 campaign up and running on Tuesday night.

Medium pacer Kevon Cooper (3-17) and off-spinner Sunil Narine (2-14) paralysed the CCC innings to restrict them to an inadequate 94 for eight from their 20 overs.

Pollard returns; TT bowl first

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Jamaica won the toss and chose to bat in their second game of the Caribbean T20 against Barbados at Queen’s Park Oval on Tuesday.

Jamaica’s opening game on Sunday against Trinidad and Tobago finished in a no-result while Barbados made a winning start to their campaign on Monday, crushing Leeward Islands by nine wickets.
