Canada open T20 by batting
NORTH SOUND, Antigua - The second slate of matches for three teams begin today but in the first match of the day, Canada will play their first match of the 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 tournament against Windward Islands. The Canadians won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. While Canada are yet to register a point in the tournament, the Windwards, led by West Indies captain Darren Sammy, sit at the top of Group A having defeated reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago in their opening match. Sammy's men will be looking to increase their chances of progression to the second phase by gaining another four points. However, underdogs Canada will be looking to forge an upset.
