GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - Managing Director of Universal Sports Management Andrew Budhan walked away with the most wickets (19) in the Florida Softball Cricket Association T20 competition, as his team Matrix defeated Equals Cricket Club by 24 runs to lift the title last Sunday.

Playing in the final at the Barnett Park in Orlando Florida, Matrix batted first and scored 142-6 off their allocation of 20 overs, with Abraham Hakim leading their batting with 35 (3×4, 2×6) while Reds Pertab supported with 28 (2×4, 1×6) while Shariff Mohamed and Budhan were unbeaten on 24 and 7 respectively.

Vick Singh and Murceline Mohamed took 2 wickets each for 18 and 30 runs respectively for Equals Cricket Club, who in reply were sent packing for 118 from their 20 overs, with Singh returning to topscore with 22.

Nick Hakim, the father of Abraham Hakim, led Matrix’s bowling with his 4-17 and Chico Ramlagan supported with 2-10 and even though Budhan failed to pick up a wicket in the final, his earlier efforts enabled Matrix to reach that stage of the competition, for which they received a trophy for their efforts.
