Berbice Cricket Board Inter County cricket preparations start today

Georgetown, Guyana - The Selection Committee of the Berbice Cricket Board has called up 30 cricketers for three 50-Overs trial matches in preparation for the upcoming Senior Inter-County 50-Over Competition which is scheduled to start on September 11th, 2013.

The first trial match is scheduled for today at the Albion Community Centre, the venue for all of the matches, with the other two matches slated for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Among the players called up are Assad Fudadin, Veerasammy Permaul and Narsingh Deonarine all of whom have represented West Indies in the past year as well as former West Indies opening batsman Sewnarine Chattergoon. The two teams will be captained by Fudadin and Permaul, subject to their availability.

Permaul’s squad: Veerasammy Permaul captain, Kandasammy Surujnarine, Arthley Bailey, Narsingh Deonarine, Joemal LaFleur, Seon Hetmyer, Delbert Hicks, Eon Hooper, Jason Sinclair, Keion De Jesus, Shawn Pereira, Kevin Ramdeen, Keon Joseph, Keyron Fraser and Yudendra Harrinarine.

Fudadin’s squad reads: Assad Fudadin captain, Shimron Hetmyer, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Devon Clements, Rajiv Ivan, Jonathan Foo, Anthony Bramble, Krishnadat Ramoo, Akshay Homraj, Anthony D’Andrade, Devendra Bishoo, Gudakesh Motie Kanhai, Clinton Pestano, Romario Shepherd and Devendra Thakurdeen.

The matches are scheduled to start at 09:00 hours each day and the players named must report to the ground not later than 07:45 hours on the playing days.
