BCB/Elizabeth Styles U-19 cricket …Chan, Looknauth and Cameron give PMCC successful start

Georgetown, Guyana - Outstanding performances from Arif Chan, Manoj Looknauth and Nicholas Cameron handed Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC) back to back victories in the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/Elizabeth Styles Under-19 cricket competition which commenced recently.
Host Port Mourant defeated Whim National by a mammoth 209 runs, before beating Big Stars by 247 runs last Saturday.
In the first game, PMCC batted first and scored 282 for 9, with Cameron, a former member of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, hitting 10 fours in his 114 off 154 balls, while Looknauth had five fours and one six in his 51.
Cameron, who brought up his 50 from 95 balls with five fours, added 92 for the fifth wicket with Looknauth. M. Charran led Whim National’s bowling with 4 for 47. K. Motayne claimed 3 for 33 and Akeem Blackman 2 for 67.
Chan, another former member of RHTYSC grabbed 5 for 19 and Looknauth snared 3 for 22 as Whim National were dismissed for 73 in 27.3 overs in reply. Only Charran and Kundial Deonarine with 15 each managed double figures.
In their second game against Big Stars, PMCC on the back of 114 from Chan which was decorated with 15 fours off 112 balls, 42 from Looknauth (27 balls, 6×4), 31 from Samuel Kisnasammy and 30 from Samaroo piled up 309 for 7 off their 50 overs.
U. George and Delroy Leitch took three wickets each for 44 and 49 runs respectively for Big Stars, who in their turn at the crease were skittled for 62 in 13 overs. Jamal Lancaster bagged 5 for 19 and Looknauth 5 for 27.
