BCB expresses gratitude to sponsors of 7th Annual Awards Ceremony

Georgetown, Guyana - The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) as part of its Diamond Jubilee celebrations hosted a gala Awards Ceremony and cocktail reception at the St. Francis Training Centre on Saturday evening last.

A total of twenty awards were handed out while an exhibition focused on the history of Berbice cricket was also unveiled.

Chairman and members of the BCB Special Events and Golden Jubilee Committees is expressing gratitude to all donors who contributed to the success of the event. Among those who contributed were Vibert Beeraspat, DDL, Banks DIH Ltd., Shabeer Baksh, Upper Corentyne Cricket Association, Demerera Bank, Republic Bank, A. Ally and Sons, Fizal Jaferally, Office of the President, Ministry of Sports, Berbice River Bridge, Universal DVD, Deonarine Shane, Clive Lloyd, Bissoondyal Singh, Chetram Catering Services, Regional Chairman Permaul Armogan, Hand in Hand, New Amsterdam Town Council, Justice Cecil Kennard, Central Corentyne Chambers, Berbice Chamber of Commerce, The Trophy Stall, Ronald Williams, Roger Harper, Conrad Plummer, Guyana Beverage Inc. (Busta), Martin Singh, Office of the Prime Minister, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Colin Elcock, Albion Cricket Club, Hema Moonsee, Leslie Soloman, Whim Cricket Club, The Senwasie Family, Bobby Prasad and Spready’s Snackette.

BCB also extended thanks to Minister Irfaan Ali for delivering the feature address. Every Berbician is being reassured by the BCB that the entity would continue to work hard towards making Berbice cricket and its players the best in Guyana.
