Following are the scores at lunch on Day 1 of the Third Round of the WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament:

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Feb 18, CMC – Jamaica, sent in to bat, reached 111 for two in their first innings at lunch on the opening day of their third round match against Barbados on Friday at Kensington Oval.

Scores: JAMAICA 110 for two (Danza Hyatt 71 not out; Jason Holder 2-17) vs BARBADOS

Austin, Edwards fined for breaches

St John’s, Antigua – Two players were fined as a result of breaches following the first round of the ongoing WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament. 1. Ryan Austin of Combined Campuses & Colleges pleaded guilty to the Level 1 charge of showing dissent at an umpire’s decision and accepted Match Referee Carlyle Carter’s fine of 50% of his match fee. There was no need for a hearing since Austin pleaded guilty immediately. This charge resulted from the Windward Islands v Combined Campuses & Colleges match at the 3 Ws Oval in Barbados.

Lions trump Barbados in runfest

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Barbados suffered another setback in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Monday, when James Taylor stroked his seventh first-class hundred to lead England Lions to first innings points in their drawn match.

The Barbadian bowling again lacked teeth on a hard, easy-paced Kensington Oval pitch and Man-of-the-Match Taylor gathered 186, as the Lions were dismissed for 538, replying to Barbados’ first innings total of 471, on the final day of their second round match.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – England Lions started their chase for first innings points strongly, after a career-best hundred from Kirk Edwards and Ryan Hinds’ 12th first-class hundred propped-up solid Barbados batting in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Saturday.
