4th Digicel ODI moved to May 2

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board announces that the Fourth Digicel One Day International between West Indies and Pakistan has been moved from May 1 to May 2.

The venue remains Kensington Oval in Barbados.

The change was made so as to avoid having two major events in Barbados on the same day.

Ryan Hinds fined 65% of match fee

St John’s, Antigua– Barbados captain Ryan Hinds has been fined 65% of his match fee following the Barbados v Guyana WICB Regional 4 Day match at the Guyana National Stadium.

Hinds was reported by umpires Norman Malcolm, Nigel Duguid and Shannon Crawford for the Level 1 (1.2) charge of showing dissent by word or action at an umpire’s decision.

The charge was upgraded to Level 2 since it was Hind’s second Level 1 offence in 12 months. The first offence was during the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament in October last.

Barbados battle for a draw

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Hamstrung by the loss of Devendra Bishoo, and a stoppage for rain, Guyana failed in their bid for a long-awaited victory over Barbados on home soil, and had to settle for a draw in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Monday.

Bajans fightback after Permaul & Bishoo romp

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Barbados staged a fight-back, after the spin duo of Veerasammy Permaul and Davendra Bishoo bowled Guyana to first innings points in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Sunday.

All-rounder Kevin Stoute finished the day with the flattering figures of two wickets for six runs from seven overs, as Guyana reached 90 for four in their second innings – for an overall lead of 218 – at the close on the third day of their fourth round match at the Guyana National Stadium.

Bishoo & Permaul have Bajans in a spin

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Spinners Davendra Bishoo and Veerasammy Permaul continued to bamboozle batsmen to put Guyana in control against Barbados in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Saturday. Bishoo snared three wickets for 15 runs from seven overs, and Permaul grabbed two for 24 from 10 overs, as Barbados, replying to Guyana’s first innings total of 330, reached 88 for five at the close on the second day of their fourth round match at the Guyana National Stadium.
