WICB announcements following Board Meeting

Bridgetown, Barbados - Following the meeting of the Board of Directors on October 1st and 2nd CEO of the WICB, Dr Ernest Hilaire, on Sunday, made the following announcements at the post Board Meeting press conference in Barbados:


WICB Board of Directors meets to discuss critical issues for 2010-2011

Bridgetown, Barbados - The Board of Directors of the WICB is meeting in Barbados from today. The meeting will continue tomorrow and on Sunday. The meeting commenced at 9am with prayers and the observance of a minute's silence for the passing of Caribbean icon Alphonsus 'Arrow' Cassell.

Stafanie Taylor has her eyes set on reaching the top

Bridgetown, Barbados: West Indies allrounder Stafanie Taylor is totally "mentally and physically" ready for the upcoming International Cricket Council's Women's Challenge Tournament in South Africa. The girls are presently in camp in Barbados under the guidance of coach Sherwin Campbell. Speaking after Monday training session, Taylor said she was "ready for all that is in store".

New boy Marlon Graham in Bajan team for WICB One-Day Tourney

Bridgetown: The Barbados selectors have called-up allrounder Marlon Graham to the 14-man squad for the upcoming West Indies Cricket Board's 50-Over Tournament, to be played in Jamaica from October 14 to 24. Graham, who turns 32 on Monday, is an off-spinning allrounder who has played for over 15 years at the senior club level. The squad was announced by the Barbados Cricket Association on Friday.

Windies legends Walsh and Ambrose to line-up for CLOBI Cup

Bridgetown: Several former icons of international cricket will be in Barbados from October 29 to November 5 for the second edition of the Cricket Legends of Barbados (CLOBI) Cup World Masters Tournament. Teams representing the West Indies, India, England and Sri Lanka will participate in the event for players 35 years and over. Matches will be played at Kensington Oval.
