Kingstown, St Vincent: Defending champions Trinidad and Tobago got off to a winning start as they defeated Guyana by 41 runs on the opening day of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League on Thursday. Led by captain Anisa Mohammed and leading batter Stacy-Ann King, the Trinis had to dig deep at various stages in the match, but eventually won easily at Victoria Park.

Taylor hits 62 not out as Jamaica beat Barbados by eight wickets

Jamaica recorded the first victory of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League when they trounced Barbados by eight wickets on Thursday. The Jamaicans, who are joint favourites for the title along with Trinidad and Tobago, strolled to 100-2 off 29 overs after dismissing the Bajans for 99 off 46 overs.

Fletcher takes four wickets as Grenada bowl out St Vincent

Grenada bowlers and fielders had a superb fight back against St Vincent and the Grenadines to dismissed the home team for 126 off 48 overs on the opening day of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League on Thursday. In the first half of their innings St Vincent’s openers Cordel Jack and Samantha Lynch played well and added 94 on a good batting surface at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2.

Openers put St Vincent on top against Grenada in Women's League

Kingstown, St Vincent: Home side St Vincent and the Grenadines made an excellent start to the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League in the opening round of matches on Thursday. Openers Cordel Jack and Samantha Lynch have so far put on 90 for the first wicket off 19 overs against Grenada at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2. Jack, the team captain who also plays for the West Indies at the international level, is on 58 not out, while Lynch is on 23 not out.
