BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Jerome Taylor and Marlon Samuels enhanced their claims for a recall to West Indies duty for assignments in the near future, when they put Jamaica in charge against Barbados in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Sunday.

Kraigg Brathwaite's 76 pilots Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Jamaica scalped the key wickets of Ryan Hinds and Kraigg Brathwaite in the final session to fight their way back against Barbados in the WICB Regional first-class championship on Saturday.

Kraigg Brathwaite has so far hit the top score of 76, and Barbados captain Ryan Hinds made 56, as the home team, replying to Jamaica’s first innings total of 324, reached 220 for four at the close on the second day of their crucial third round match at Kensington Oval.

Following are the close of play scores on Day 2 of Round 3 of the WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament:

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, CMC – Guyana, trailing by 81 on first innings, reached 98 for nine in their second innings at the close on the second day of their third round match against Windward Islands on Saturday at the Arnos Vale Multi-Purpose Complex.

ICC clears Edwards & Thomas

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board has received confirmation from the International Cricket Council that its Technical Committee has approved Kirk Edwards and Devon Thomas replacing the injured duo of Adrian Barath and Carlton Baugh.

Edwards, the right handed Barbadian strokemaker and Thomas, the effervescent Antigua wicketkeeper/batsman will depart the Caribbean this evening and are scheduled to join the West Indies World Cup squad in India on Monday, February 21.
