George Linton appointed new Chairman of Selectors in Barbados

Bridgetown, Barbados: The Barbados Cricket Association has made changes to its selection panel for the senior national team. Former Barbados players George Linton, Winston Reid and Michael Inniss will form the new panel replacing Courtney Browne, Philo Wallace and Ezra Moseley – who all played for Barbados and West Indies.

Collymore moves from Sussex, will replace Collins at Middlesex

Barbados and West Indies fast bowler Corey Collymore has signed to switch from Sussex to Middlesex in the English County Competitions. The right-arm seamer will replace his former team-mate Pedro Collins. The two, who are neighbors in Boscobel village in the northern parish of St Peter in Barbados, played together for Barbados and West Indies between 1999 and 2006.

Bridgetown, Barbados: West Indies A team batsman Kirk Edwards hit a match-winning century for Wanderers in the Barbados Cricket Association's Sagicor Cup 50-over tournament on Sunday. The tall right-hander, who is among the players offered developmental contracts by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), hit 113 not out as Wanderers easily defeated the Banks CC by six wickets.

WICB and Digicel join forces to launch Youth Development Programme

Bridgetown, Barbados: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and Digicel, proud sponsor of cricket in the West Indies today announced details of the Digicel Youth Cricket Development Programme. The two-year agreement will see youth development clinics take place in all WICB territorial boards – Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Windward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago – with hundreds of aspiring young cricketers being coached in the basic skills of the game, with a view to creating a pool of talented young West Indian cricketers.
