WICB announces Regional 4 Day Schedule

 

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board today announced the schedule for the Regional 4 Day Tournament 2011.

The tournament begins on February 4th and ends on April 11th with a league phase followed by two semi finals and a final. The top four Caribbean teams in the league will compete in the semi finals.

Bridgetown, Barbados – On a night when they needed to in to qualify for the Caribbean Twenty20 semi final, Barbados were humiliated by a rampant Trinidad and Tobago before a bumper holiday crowd.

Barbados crush hapless Canada

 

Bridgetown, Barbados – Barbados, needing to win to remain in the hunt for a semi final spot, crushed Canada in a domineering rain affected performance.

Dwayne Smith plundered half a dozen sixes and three fours in 66 from 40 balls.

Jimmy Hansra picked up three wickets as the Bajans failed to capitalized on Smith’s power start and ended on 139 for 7 from 20 overs.

Hampshire & T&T prevail on Day 4 of CT20

North Sound, Antigua – Hampshire Royals pulled off a stunning Super Over win against Barbados on Day 4 of the Caribbean Twenty20 2011 while Trinidad & Tobago thumped Leeward Islands by 56 runs to register their first win in their opening game.

In the first game of the day Hampshire, led by some exquisite fast bowler by Simon Jones and Barbados played to a tie then Barbados failed to score any runs in their Super Over as Hampshire scrambled the single to win.
