Jamaica take big lead over Bajans

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller’s five-wicket haul undermined Barbados on Saturday and put Jamaica in pole position to win their second round Regional 4Day match at Sabina Park.

The wiry 29-year-old snatched five for 25 as Barbados tumbled from 81 for three before lunch to 157 all out, losing their last seven wickets for 76 and conceding a first innings lead of 130 runs.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Reigning champions Jamaica and Guyana will be two of the teams looking to make the most headway in the second round of the Regional 4-Day Tournament, starting on Friday.

The Jamaicans will be looking to secure their second straight victory, when they welcome traditional powerhouses Barbados into the tournament at Sabina Park.

The Guyanese are also eyeing their second consecutive victory, when they face Windward Islands at Windsor Park.

Bajans arrive ahead of Jamaica test

KINGSTON, JAMAICA  - After having rested for the first round, the Barbados cricket team arrived in the island yesterday ready to face champions Jamaica in the second round of the Regional Four-Day tournament at Sabina Park this weekend.
