The Dutch are coming for CT20

St John’s, Antigua – The dangerous Dutch side will undertake a cricketing invasion of the Caribbean in January. The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that Netherlands will join Canada and Sussex Sharks as the three overseas teams which will take part in the next Caribbean Twenty20.

The overseas trio will join seven regional sides in the ten team tournament to be played in Trinidad and Barbados from January 9th to the 22nd.

McClean defeats injury to stun Windies

Dubai, United Arab Emirates– Kevin McClean produced a classic fast bowling performance as Sagicor High Performance Centre pulled off a superb win over West Indies in their 40-over Carib Asian Series match on Thursday.

The tall right-armer from Barbados took four wickets in his first spell and returned to take another to end the innings at the International Cricket Council’s Global Cricket Academy. He finished with the impressive figures of five wickets for 19 runs as the West Indies fell for 73 off 30.2 overs.

Barbados recall Browne for Super50

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – Former West Indies wicketkeeper Patrick Browne has been recalled for Barbados’ Super 50 campaign after over a protracted stint in the wilderness. The 29-year-old, who played five One-Day Internationals for West Indies in 2008, was named in a 14-man squad on Friday for the October 18 to 29 showpiece in Guyana.
