Bridgetown, Barbados - Gutted by the misfortune that cut short his participation in the Caribbean Twenty20 last month, Barbados all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite is working towards a return to competitive cricket early in March.

Barbados beat T&T by five wickets

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite anchored Barbados to a morale-boosting, five-wicket victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the Regional 4Day Tournament on Sunday.

Brathwaite led the way with an unbeaten 48, as the Barbadians, chasing 179 for victory, reached their target about 20 minutes after the lunch interval on the final day at Kensington Oval.

The obdurate teenager struck just two boundaries from 142 balls in close to four hours of batting.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Thirteen wickets tumbled on a dramatic third day but Barbados were left scenting a win over arch-rivals Trinidad and Tobago in their Regional First Class Championship contest here Saturday.

Narine, Fidel share bowling honours

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Off-spinner Sunil Narine’s four-wicket haul restricted Barbados and gave Trinidad and Tobago the advantage on the second day of their Regional 4Day match on Friday.

The 26-year-old finished with four for 69, a spell that left Barbados on 254 for seven at the close, in reply to Trinidad and Tobago’s 338 all out at Kensington Oval.

Earlier, captain Denesh Ramdin got 88 and Rayad Emrit hit 62 as T&T, resuming the day on 293 for six, lost their last four wickets for the addition of just 45 runs.

Ramdin 14 away from century

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Denesh Ramdin led consistent batting down the order, putting Trinidad & Tobago in early control against Barbados in the Regional 4-Day Tournament on Thursday.

The T&T captain was unbeaten on 80, Darren Bravo supported with 54 and Lendl Simmons made 52, leading T&T to 293 for six in their first innings at the close on the opening day of their third round match at Kensington Oval.
