Ball Players trounce Brooklyn

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Ball Players trounced Brooklyn by 56 runs in a women’s division contest, on July 4 in the BGTT/councillor Roger “Zoff” Celestine Tyro Sports Club Day/Night Windball Cricket League.

Ball Players notched a score of 114 runs for four wickets with Jovanka Simon leading the way with 67. Valerie Charles claimed two wickets for 18 runs for Brooklyn. 

Brooklyn, in response, were only able to reach 68/5 with Sherene Ramkissoon unbeaten on 29. 

Britney Cooper took 3/3 and Unica Rosemon 2/18 for Ball Players.

45-and-Over Division: BIG MEN 74/4 - Roger Bhola 35, Junior Griffith 24 vs OFFICIALS 33 - Conrad Stephen 2/5, Junior Griffith 2/5. Big Men won by 41 runs.

July 1 - 

Women Division: CRICKET LOVERS 100/5 - Sarah Charles 32, Paula Charles 22 vs TALK NAH 56/8 - Selene O’Neil 3/8, Natalie Ninah 2/11. Cricket Lovers won by 44 runs. 

July 2 - 

Men Division: DRIFTERS 122/4 - Gregory Webb 73 not out, Victor Peters 13 not out; Andy Nesbitt 2/12 vs REBELS 89/3 - Derick Woods 33 not out, Bertram Percival 16 not out. Drifters won by 33 runs. 

July 3 - 

Women Division: CRICKET LOVERS 91/6 - Selene O’Neil 29; Leeann Kirby 2/15 vs TAMANA UNITED 92/9 - Leeann Kirby 48; Sherlanna Thomas 2/8. Tamana United won by one wicket.
