Amendments to BCA Special Conditions & Regulations
Barbados Cricket Association article.
Bridgetown, Barbados - The Special Conditions and Regulations of Play 2014 have been distributed but based on some queries raised it has been decided to amend some of the Regulations and also to clarify some others.
Regulation 18 (d) (ii) p 43 – Membership of Clubs and Composition of Teams
No player may take part in any match in any division if he is a declared member of a team selected to take part in a match in another division in a series which is not yet completed.
Some matches in the Intermediate and Second Divisions have been scheduled to be played on Sundays which traditionally is not the scheduled playing day. This has been done in an effort to save Clubs the expense of having to play at neutral venues because their Home venue is not available.
If, for example, a match is played Saturday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday or any combination of these the series is not complete until the last date of the other matches scheduled in that series or the last day of the match in question, whichever is the later.
Regulation 26 – pp 57-60 – Matches Reduced to One Day
Elite and First Divisions – Regulation 26 (iv) p 58
Change the times in this Regulation from 12.30 or 12.00 noon, to 12.00 noon or 11.30 am.
Kindly insert the following on page 60 as Regulation 26 (c)
No bowler may bowl more than one-fifth of the total overs allowed except that where the total number of overs is not divisible by 5, one additional over shall be allowed to the maximum number per bowler necessary to make up the total.
Sagicor Super Cup
Regulation 20 (b) (2) p 71-14 and 20 (d) (2) p 71-16
Change ‘for every four (4) full minutes of time’ to ‘for every four (4.2) minutes of time’.
The Barbados Cricket Association hopes that the above has helped to clarify the above issues.
