Chanderpaul jumps two places in ODI rankings

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - West Indies batsman Shiv Chanderpaul has moved two places up the ICC One-Day International batting rankings.
 
In the latest rankings, the prolific left-hander jumped from 19th to 17th on the points table which is still headed by England batsman Kevin Pietersen.
 
Chanderpaul, currently ranked 10th in the Test batting rankings after an outstanding series against England recently, is one of three West Indies players in the top 20.
 
Out-of-form opener Chris Gayle has remained 16th in the rankings while injured right-hander Ramnaresh Sarwan in still fifth despite his inactivity.
 
The top three in the rankings remain unchanged with Pietersen topping the list, Australian captain Ricky Ponting in second and teammate Mike Hussey in third.
 
Indian batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has dropped two places from fourth to sixth with Australian Matthew Hayden replacing him in fourth.
 
Graeme Smith has dropped three places to 10th after missing the Ireland tour following knee surgery.
