KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica, replying to Trinidad & Tobago's first innings total of 121, reached 189 for four at lunch on the second day in the Carib Beer Challenge Final on Friday at Sabina Park.

At the interval, Brendan Nash was not out on 93 and Jamaica captain Tamar Lambert was not out on 46, after the home team continued from their overnight total of 107 for four.

The pair has batted through the morning period to add 95 - unbroken - for the fifth wicket to tighten Jamaica's grip on the five-day match.

T&T missed an early chance to make the breakthrough, when substitute fielder William Perkins dropped Lambert, on 10, at mid-wicket off Amit Jaggernauth.

Lambert kept his composure, and formalised the lead for his side, when he drove Ravi Rampaul through the cover for two.

The Carib Beer Challenge Final is the ceremonial end to the West Indies first-class season, and features the teams that finish in the top two positions from the Carib Beer Cup league competition.
