Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Programme
The introduction of the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket programme in 1999 was the initial step to ensure that cricket is made accessible to as many schools as possible for all primary school kids, boys and girls.
The aim of the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket programme is not primarily to produce stars, but to reintroduce cricket into the school system thereby generating interest in the game and hopefully to produce cricketing stars as a residual effect, and to inform and educate The objective is for the kids to have fun while playing the game regularly again and to acquire life skills while doing so.
The Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Programme was developed in collaboration with different specialists (cricket, educational, curriculum) throughout the region and the England and Wales Cricket Board. WICB also recognizes the sponsorship of Scotiabank without which this programme could not have been realized.
