NEW SOUTH WALES -- The West Indies women’s team will get their first taste of action on Australian soil when they face New South Wales in a warm-up match on Monday (Sunday night Caribbean Time).

The game at the Old King’s Club, Parramatta will be 50 overs per side. The West Indies will have a second warm-up match on Wednesday (Tuesday night Caribbean Time) against England at Cambelltown.

CASTRIES, St. Lucia -- Darren Sammy, the talented allrounder and West Indies Vice Captain, has been named as Captain of the Windward Islands for the upcoming West Indies Cricket Board’s President’s Cup One-Day Tournament in Guyana. He takes over from Rawl Lewis, the veteran leg-spinning allrounder who has represented the Windwards for close to two decades.
